Cherokee Rose Fruit(Jin ying zi)
It is the dried fruit of the Rosa laevigata Michx.family Rosaceae.The medicinal is collected in October and November when the fruit is ripe and turned red.It is dried in the sunshine and the bur is removed.The raw form is utilized for medicine.
Medicinal Properties: sour,sweet,astringent and neutral.
Meridian Tropism:kidney,bladder and large intestine meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Astringe essence,reduce the frequency of urination;reduce leucorrhea;astringe the intestine to relieve diarrhea.
Usage and Dosage: 6-12g is used for oral use.
