Dandelion(Pu gong ying)
Pugongying is the dried whole plant of Taraxacum mongolicum Hand.-Mazz.and Taraxacum sinicum Kitag.,pertaining to Compositae,or other plants of the same genus.It is collected from summer to fall when it begins to blossom.After impurities are removed,it is washed,cut into segments,and sun dried.It is used in fresh form or raw form.
Medicinal Properties:Bitter,sweet and cold.
Meridian Tropism:Liver and stomach meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Clear heat and relieve toxicity;cure swelling,dissipate nodulation;excrete dampness and remove stranguria.
Usage and Dosage:96-15g.Also it is used externally.
