Cassia Bark(Rou gui)

It is the dried bark of Cinnamomum cassia Presl,family Lauraceae.It is mostly peeled off and collected in autumn.Impurity and rough bark are removed off and dried in the shade.It is cut inti pieces or ground into powder and the raw form is used.

Medicinal Properties:Pungent,sweet in flavor,extremely hot in nature.

Meridian Tropism:kidney,spleen,heart and liver meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies:Reinforce fire and strengthen yang;return fire to its origin;disperse cold to alleviate pain;warm meridians and unblock collaterals.

Usage and Dosage: 1~4.5g.The medicinal is suitable to be decocted later;after being ground into powder,it is taken after mixing with water,or in pills and powders,1~2g every time.
