The source is from the root of Aconitum carmichaeli Debx.,family Ranunculaceae.It is dug and collected from the last ten-day period of June to the first ten-day period of April.It is dried in the sun with attached roots and sediment removed.The crude one or the prepared one is used.
Medicinal Properties:Pungent,bitter and heat,extremely toxic.
Meridian Tropism:Heart,liver,kidney,spleen meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Expel wind and dampness;disperse cold and relieve pain.
Usage and Dosage:1.5-3g.Decoct first and for a long period of time.
