It is the dried rhizome of zingiber officinale(Willed)Rosc.,family Zingiberaceae.The medicinal is mainly produced in Sichuan and Guizhou Provinces.The dried ginger can be utilized after it is burnt with sand until it knobs.The surface should turn brown,or it is stir-baked until the surface is black and the interior is dark-brown.
Medicinal Properties:Bitter,astringent and warm.
Meridian Tropism:Spleen and liver meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Warm channels to stop bleeding;warm the middle energizer to alleviate pain.
Usage and Dosage: 3~9g.
