Chuanxinlian is the above ground part of Andrographis paniculata(Burm.F)Nees,pertaining to Acanthaceae.It is collected in early fall when it is prosperous.After the impurities are removed,it is washed,cut into segments and sun dried.It is used in raw form or fresh form.
Medicinal Properties:Bitter and slightly cold.
Meridian Tropism:Heart,lung,large intestine and bladder meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Clear heat , relieve toxicity;dry dampness.
Usage and Dosage:6-9g.Usually as pills,powder and tablets.Also it is used externally.
