Chinese Name: Da Xian Xiong Tang
English Name: Major Decoction for Removing Phlegm-heat from the Chest

Ingredients: Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei)(Peeled) 10g Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulphas) 10h Gan Sui (Radix Enphorbiae Kansui) 1g.

Administration: Decoct the first ingredient with Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulphas) dissolved and Gan Sui (Radix Enphorbiae Kansui) infused in the decoction for oral administration.

Actions: Purgates heat and expels fluid.

Indications:Thoracic accumulation syndrome of fluid intermingled with heat marked by epigastric fullness and pain or fullness and pain with tenderness from the epigastric area to the underbelly, costipation, mild tidal fever, short breath, dysphoria, dry tongue, thirst, red tongue with yellow and greasy tongue coating or concurrently slippery pulse, deep and tight or deep and slow pulse.
