Chinese Name: Da Cheng Qi Tang
English Name: Decoction of Radix Ginseng and Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata

Ingredients: Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei) (Washed in wine) 12g Hou Po (Cortes Magnoliae Officinalis) (peeled and prepared )24g Zhi Shi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus) 12g and Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulphas) 6g.

Administration: Decoct the first 3 ingredientsfor oral administration with Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulphas) dissolved in the decoction (Decoct Hou Po)(Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis) and Zhi Shi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus )first and Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei later).

Actions: drasticall Purgating the heat accumulation.

Indications: (1)Sthenia of Yangming-fu organ marked by cocstipation with frequent flatus, abdomial fullness, abdominal pain with tenderness and the feeling of hardness, or even hectic fever and delirium, profuse sweating of hands and feet, prickled tongue with yellow dry tongue coating or dry black tongue, deep and forceful pulse.
(2)Heat cccumulation with watery defecation marked by watery fecal discharge with pure green color and foul odor, umbilical and abdomonal pain with hard lumps by pressing, dry mouth and tongue, slippery and forceful poulse.
(3) Sthenia syndrome of in teror heat marked by heat syncope, convulsion and mania.
