English Name: (Fu Mai Tang)(Baked Licorice Decoction)
Ingredients: Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata)12g Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zizngibeis Recens)9g Gui Zhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi)9g Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng)6g Sheng Di Huang (Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata)50g Er Jiao (Colla Corii Asini)6g Mai Men Dong (Radix Ophiopogomis)10g Ma Ren (Fructus Cannabis)10g Da Zao (Fructus Ziziphi Jujubae)10pcs.
Administration:Mix and decoct all except Er Jiao;then add 10ml rice wine to decoction with residue removed;stew Er Jiao separately till it melts and divided it into two portions;mix one portion well with half decoction for oral administration.
Actions: Nourishes yin and replenishes blood,tonifies the i and warms yang,restores pulse and stops palpitation.
Indications: (1)Deficiency syndrome of both the yin-blood and yang-qi marked by intermittent pulse,palpitation.lassitude,short breath,reddende rongue with no coationg ,ot dry and thin tongue.
(2)Consumptive pulmonaty disease due to deficiency of yin marked by cough,emaciation,short breath,vexation,insomnia,spontaneous perspiration and ight perspiration,dry throat and tongue,constipation ,feeble and rapid pulse.
