English Name: Decoction of Herba Artemisiae Annuae and Radix Scutellariae for Clearing Dampness and heat from the Gallbladder
Ingredients: Qing Hao (Herba Artemisiae)6g Dan Zhu Ru (Herba Lophatheri) 9g fresh Ban Xia (Rhizoma Pinelliae) 5g Chi Fu Ling (Poria Rubra) 9g Huang Qin (Radix Dcutellariae) 6g Sheng ZhiKe (Fructus Aurantii) 5g Chen Guang Pi Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae) 5g Bi Yu San (wrapped, including Huashi)(Talcum Pulveratum), Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae)and Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) 9g.
Administration: Decoct the ingredients for oral administration
Actions: Clears heat from the gallbladder and removes dampness via diuresis, regulates the stomach and resolved phegm.
Indications: Dampness and heat syndrome of Shao Yang marked by alternation of cold and heat, mild cold and severe heat, bitter taste, diaphragm fullness, vomiting of bitter and sour water , or vomiting of yellow and mucous saliva, retching, hiccup, distending pain of the chest and hypochondrium, red tongue with white and greasy tongue coating mingled other coors, rapid and slippery pulse of the right hand and rapid and taut puse of the left hand.
