Chinese Name: Qing Wen Bai Du Yin
English Name: Antipyretic and Antitoxic Decoction

Ingredients:Sheng Shi Gao (Gypsum Fi brosum), 180-240 for large-dose formulas, 60-120g for medium- dose formulas, 24- 36g for small-dose formulas Sheng Di huang (Radix Rehmanniae), 18-30g for large-dose formulas, 9- 15g for medium-dose formulas and 6-12g for small -dose formulas Shui Niu Jiao(Cornus Rhinocerotis), 180-24g for larger-dose formulas, 90-150g for medium-dose formulas Gardeniae9g Jie Geng (Radux Okattcidu)9g Lian Qiao (Fructus Forsythiae)9g Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae)9g  Dan Pi (Cirtex Moutan Radicis)9g and fresh Zhu Ye (Rgizoma Phragmitis )9g (nor dosage marked in the original book for the above 10 ingredients).

Administration:Decict the  above ingredientts for oral administration.

Actions:Learns heat and removes toxin, cools blood and purges fire.

Indications:Syndrome of intense heat in qi and blood phases with pestilence, heat and toxin marked by high fever, thirst with desire for drinking, sever headache, dysphoria, such as mania, delirium, coma, or eruption, or nosebleed, or clonic convulsion of limbs, of cold,deep red tongue with dry crecked lips ,deep, thready and rapid pulse or deep and rapid pulse, or foating, large and rapid pulse.
