Ma Huang Tang(Ephedra Decoction)

Ingredients: Ma Huang(Herba Ephedrae)(with joints removed) 9g; Gui Zhi(Ramulus Cinnamomi) 6g; Xing Ren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum)(with the peel removed) 6g; Zhi Gan Cao(Radix Glycyrrhizae Praeparata)3g

Administration: All the above ingredients are decocted for oral administration.

Actions: Induces sweating to release the exterior, diffuse the lung and the relieves asthma.

Indications: Exterior-excess syndrome due to externally contracted wind-cold, manifestated as aversion to cold, fever, no sweating, asthma, headache, body pain, a thin tongue coating, floating, and tight pulse.
