Chinese Angelica(Dang gui)
This medicinal is the dried root of Angellica sinensis(Oliv.)Diles.(Fam.Umbelliferac).The one ,which is mainly produced in Min County in the southeast of Gansu province,is of the best quality.It is excavated of root moisture,those of similar size are bound in small bundles,and smoked dry on slow fire or with sulfur to avoid moth and mildew.It is sliced and used in its unprocessed form or stir-baked with liquor.
Medicinal Properties:sweet and pungent,warm.
Meridian Tropism:liver,heart and spleen meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Tonify blood,active blood,regulate menstruation to relieve pain,moisten the bowels to relieve constipation.
Usage and Dosage: 5~15g.
