English Name: Bolus for Controlling Menstruation
Ingredients:Huang Qin (Radix Phellodendri) 30g Bai Shao (Radix Paeoniae Alba)30g Gui Jia (Plastrum Testudinis Praeparatae)30g Huang Bo (Cortex Phellodendri)9g ChunShu Gen Pi (Cortex Ailanthi)22.5g Xiang Fu (Rhizoma Cyperi)7.5g.
Administration:Grind the above ingredients into fine powder and mix in with wine to make boluses as big as the seed of Chinese parasol, Take the drug orally,6 grams each time with warm wine, or boiled water, 2 times a day. The ingredients can also be decocted in water for oral administration.
Actions:Nourishes yin, Clears hear, and controls metrorrhagia to arrest bleeding.
Indications:Metorrhagia due to yin deficiency concomitant with blood heat marked by prolonged menstruation, or profuse menstruation, of profuse menstruation, or preceded menstrual cycle, dark red of purple colored sticky bleeding feverish sensation in the palms and soles,soles, soreness and weakness of the waist and kness, red togue, taut and repid pulse.
