Filed Thistle Herb(Xiao ji)
It is the plant of Cephalanoplos segetum(Bunge)kitam.,family Compositae.After the medicinal is collected during its flowering period in summer,it is washed clean,dried in the sun,and then cut into segments.It is utilized both in its raw carbonized forms.
Medicinal Properties:Bitter and cool.
Meridian Tropism:Heart and liver meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Cool blood and stop bleeding;eliminate toxic material to treat carbuncle.
Usage and Dosage: 4.5~9g.30~60g of the fresh form.The appropriate amount for external application.Place directly on the wounded area.
