Banlangen is the dried root of Isatis indigotica Fort.,pertaining to Cruciferae.It is collected in fall.After the earth and sands are removed,it is sun dried,and then cut into slices.The raw form is used.

Medicinal Properties:Bitter and cold.

Meridian Tropism:heart and stomach meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies: Clear heat and relieve toxicity,cool blood and relieve sore throat.

Usage and Dosage:9-15g.
