It is the dried mature fruit of Foeniculum vulgare Mill.,family Umbelliferae.When the fruits begin to mature in autumn,the plants are cut off,the fruit are beaten down,and dried in the sunshine.After the impurities are removed,the raw form or stir-baked with salty water can be utilized for medicine.
Medicinal Properties:Pungent in flavor,warm in nature.
Meridian Tropism:liver,kidney,spleen and stomach meridian.
Medicinal Efficacies:Expel cold and relieve pain;regulate qi and harmonize stomach.
Usage and Dosage: 3~6g is used for oral use and appropriate amount for external use.
