It is the dried bud of Eugenia caryophllata Thunb.It is usually collected from September to March,when the buds become red from green.Footstalk must be removed,and dried in the sunshine.The raw one can be used.

Medicinal Properties:Pungent in flavor,warm in nature.

Meridian Tropism:spleen,stomach,lung and kidney meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies:Warming the middle energizer to check adverse rise of qi;expel cold and relieve pain;tonifying kidney and strengthen yang.

Usage and Dosage: 1~3g is used for oral use.
