Frankincense(Ru xiang)

It is the resin from the bark of Boswellia carterii Birdw and other species in the same genus,family Burseraceae.The resin is collected and coagulated into a solid,during spring and autumn.It is often utilized in its stir-baked form.
Medicinal Properties:Pungent,bitter and warm.
Meridian Tropism:Liver,heart and spleen meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Active blood and alleviate pain;subside swelling and promote tissue regeneration.
Usage and Dosage: 3~10g.It is better when the oil is stir-baked out of the medicinal.The raw or the stir-baked form can be used for external application,ground into powder and used in the appropriate amount.
