It is the dried tuber of Sparganium stoloniferum Buch.Ham.,family Sparganiaceae.It is harvested and collected in winter and spring.After,it is washed clean,peeled and dried in the sunshine.Then,it is moistened thoroughly,and cut into pieces.The raw or the stir-baked with vinegar form is utilized as a medicine.
Medicinal Properties:Pungent,bitter and neutral.
Meridian Tropism:liver and spleen meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Break blood stasis and move qi;eliminate stagnation and alleviate pain.
Usage and Dosage: 4.5~9g.The prepared with vinegar form can reinforce the action of alleviate pain.
