It is the flower or flower bud of Sophora japonica L.,family Leguminosae.Collected before or when it blossoms during summer,the twig,peduncle,and other impurities of the anthotaxy removed,dried,it could be used raw,stir-baked or carbonized.
Medicinal Properties:Bitter and slightly cold.
Meridian Tropism:Liver and large intestine meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Cool the blood and stop bleeding;clear away liver-heat and lower the fire.
Usage and Dosage: 5~9g.
