Chinese Name: Gui Pi Tang
English Name: Decoction for Restoring the Spleen

Ingredients: Bai Zhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macroephapae)6g Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis)6g Fu Ling (Poria)6g Huang QI (radix Astragali seu Hedysari)10g Long Yan Ruo (Arillus Longan)10g Yuan Zhi (Radix POlygalae)6g Suan Zao Ren(Semem Zizihi Spinosae)6g  Ren Shen (Radix Aucklandia)3g Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata)6g Mu Xiang (Radix Aucklandia)3g Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata)6g Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng)10g

Administration:Grind the above ingredients into fine powder,decoct 12g each time with 6g Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zixngibeis Recens)and 3 pieces of Da Zao (Fructus Ziziphi Jujubae)in water for oral administration.

Actions:  Replenishes the qi and nourishes the blood,invigorates the spleen and heart.

Indications: (1)Deficiency syyndrome of both qi and the blood of spleen and heart marked by palpitation of severe palpitation,amnesia and insomnia,night sweat,hectic fever,general debility,poor appetite,sallow complexion,pale tongue with thin whitish coating,thready and weak pulse.
(2)Syndrome of the failure of the spleen to control blood marked by hemafecia,subcutaneous purpura,metrorrhagia,menstruation ahead of the time,profuse light colored menstruation,or dribbling menstruation ,pale tongue and thready pulse.
