Chinese Name: Qing Re Di Huang Tang
English Name: (Heat-clearing Decoction with Radix Rehmanniae)(Originally Xi Jiao Di Huang Tang, Decoction of Cornu Rhinocerotis and Radix Rehmanniae)
Ingredients:Shui Niu Jiao (Cornu Bubali) (origainally Xi Jiao(Cornus Rhinocerotis) 30g Sheng Di Huang Radix Rehmanniae) 15g Chi Shao ( Radix Paeoniae Rubra) 12g and Dan Pi (Cortex Moutan Radicis) 9g.
Administration:Make the above ingredients into decoction, with Shui Niu Jiao (Cornu Bubali) piled and decocted first, the other ingreidnts decocted later.
Actions:Clears heat and removes toxic substances, cools blood and dispels blood stasis.
Indications:Heat entering blood phase marked by body fever, dysphoria, coma, delifium, purple and dark rashes, hemoptysid, epistaxis, hemafecia, hematuria, deep red tongue or deep red tongue with prrckles, thready and rapid pulse.
