Divaricate Saposhnikovia Root (Fang feng )
Fangfeng is the dried root of Saposhnikovia divaricata(Turcz.)Schischk.,pertaining to Apoaceae.It is collected in spring and fall.After fibrous root,earth and sand are removed,it is sun dried,and then cut into slices.The raw form is used or after stir-baked to charcoal.
Medicinal Properties:Pungent,sweet and slightly warm;related to bladder,liver and spleen meridians.
Meridian Tropism: Bladder,liver and spleen meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Release superficies,relieve wind;dispel dampness,stop pain;and stop spasm.
Usage and Dosage: 4.5~9g.
