Mosla chinensis Maxim(Xiang Ru)
Xiangru is the dried above ground part of Molsa chinensis Maxim. and Molsa chinensis "jiangxiangru", pertaining to Labiatae. The former is known as Qingxiangru, and the latter is known as Jiangxiangru. It is collected in summer and fall, when this plant is prosperous with ripened fruit. After that the impurities are removed, it is dried in the shade, and then cut into segments. The raw form is used.
Medicinal Properties: Pungent and slightly warm
Meridian Tropism: Lung, spleen and stomach meridians
Medicinal Efficacies: Inducing sweating, release superficies; harmonize the middle, resolve dampness; promote urination and alleviate edema.
Usage and Dosage: 3-9g. For promoting urination and alleviating edema, it is used in large dosage.
