Chinese Name: 相恶
English Name: Mutual Inhibition

When two medicinals are combined together, and one can restrict to the other, that is, one medicinal can reduce the medicinal efficacies of the other, or even neutralize it totally, it is referred to as mutual inhibition. For example, Renshen is inhibited by Laifuzi, as Laifuzi can reduce Renshen's ability to tonify qi.
