English Name: Mutual Suppression


When one medicinal can reduce or remove toxicity, as well as, the side effects of another medicinal it is called mutual suppression. For example, Shengjian can reduce or remove the toxicity or side effect of raw Banxia and raw Dannanxing. In other words, Shengjiang suppresses the toxicity of raw Banxia and raw Dananxing. In summary, mutual restrain and mutual suppression are the same, but they are expressed in two different ways.
