Chinese Name: Bai Tou Weng
English Name: Pulsatilla Decoction
Ingredients:Bai Tou Wong (Radix Pulsatillae) 15g Huang Bai (Cortex Phellodendri) 12g Huang Lian (Rhizoma Coptidis) 5g and Qin Pi (Cortex Fraxini) 12g.
Administration:Decoct the above drugs for oral administration.
Actions:Clears heat and drying dampness , regulating qi and blood.
Indications:Dysentery due to heat and toxin marked by abdominalgia, tenesmus, feverish sensation of anus, dysentery with pus and blood accompanied by more red than white, the thirst with desire for frinking, red tongue with yellow tongue coating , taut and rapid pulse.
