Chinese Name: Fang Feng Tong Sheng San
English Name: Miraculous Powder of Radix Saoshnikovia
Ingredients: Fang Feng (Radix Ledebouriellae) 15g Jin Jie (Herba Schizonepetae) 15g Lian Qiao (Fructus Forsythiae) 15g Ma Huang (Herba Ephedrae) 15g Bo He (Herba Menthae) 15g Chuan Xiong (Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong) 15g Dang Gui (Radix Angenicae Sinensis) 15g.Bai Shao (Radix Paeoniae)(parches) 15g Bai Zhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae) 15g Shan Zhi (Fructus Cardeniae) 15g Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoa Rhei)(steamed with liquor) 15g and Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulphas)(decoced later) 15g Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum)30g Huang Qin (Radix Scutellariae) 30g and Jie Geng (Radix Platycodi) 30g Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) 60g and Hua Shi (Talcum Pulveratum) 90g.
Administration: Grind the above ingredients into hoarse powder , Take 9g of the powder each time; or decoct the ingredients with 3 slices of Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) for oral administration; or Make the ingredients into pills for oral administration. 6g each time ,twice a day; or simply decoct the ingredients for oral administration.
Actions: Diapels wing and releases the exterior , purges heat and promots bowel movement.
Indications:Excessive wind and heat with sthenia of both exterior and interior marked by aversion to cold. high fever, dizziness, red and painful eyes,bitter taste and dry mouth, unsmooth urination. The formula in also aplicable to sore, swelling, interstinal wind syndrome with hemorrhoids, red spot, recessive rash.
