Dwarf Lilyturf Tuber(Mai dong)
This medicinal is the dried root of tuber of Ophiopogon japonicus (Thunb.)Ker-Gawl.(Fam.Liliaceae).It is excavated in the summer,dried by natural sunshine and piled repeatedly until it becomes 70%~80% dried.After removal of its rootless,it is then crushed for utilization.
Medicinal Properties:Bitter and cold.
Meridian Tropism:lung and kidney meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Nourish yin and promote fluid production;moisten lung and clear heart.
Usage and Dosage: 6~12g.
