It is the germinant mature fruit of Hordeum vulgare L.,family Gramineae.It can be utilized in its raw or stir-baked form.

Medicinal Properties:sweet and neutral.

Meridian Tropism:stomach and liver meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies:promote digestion;harmonize the middle energizer;stop lactation and disperse swelling.

Usage and Dosage: 9~15g.When used for stopping lactation,it is better to be stir-baked ,with the amount of as much as 60g.
