Lesser Galangal Rhizome(Gao liang jiang)
It is the dried rhizome of Alpinia officinarum Hance,family Zingiberaceae.The rhizome for 4~6years growth can be dug and collected from the end of the summer to the beginning of the autumn.The fiber and remained squama are removed,it is cut into pieces,and dried in the sunshine.The raw form is utilized for medicine.
Medicinal Properties:Pungent in flavor,hot in nature.
Meridian Tropism:spleen and stomach meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Warming the middle energizer and relieve pain.
Usage and Dosage: 3~6g is used for oral use.
