Glabrous Greenbrier Rhizome(Tu fu ling)
Tufuling is the dried rhizome of Smilax glabra Roxb.,pertaining to Lilaceae.It is collected in summer and fall.After the fibrous root is removed,it is washed and then sun dried.Also the fresh one can be cut into thin slices to dry.The raw form is used.
Medicinal Properties:Sweet,bland and neutral.
Meridian Tropism:Lung,heart and small intestine meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Relieve toxicity,dispel dampness;ease joint movement.
Usage and Dosage:15-60g.Also it is used externally.
