Mabo is the dried fruiting body of Lasiosphaera fenzlii Reich.,Calvatia gigantean(Batsch ex Pers.)Lloyd.,or Calvatia lilacina (Mont.et Berk)Lloyd.,pertaining to Lycoperdaceae.It is collected in summer and fall when the fruiting body become mature.After earth and sands are removed,it is dried.The raw form is used.
Medicinal Properties:Pungent and neutral.
Meridian Tropism:Lung meridian.
Medicinal Efficacies: Clear heat,relieve toxicity;clear lung,relieve sore-throat,stop bleeding.
Usage and Dosage:1-1.5g.It is decocted with wrapping or use in pills and powders.Also it is used externally.
