Founded in 2001, Sichuan Neautus Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd is the first GMP certified pharmaceutical producer of herbal slices in China, also a national high-tech enterprise and a state-level key enterprise of agricultural industrialization. In November 2009, it became the only National Engineering and Research Center for TCM Material Processing approved by NDRC; Chairman Jiang Yun also served as Chairman of Herbal Slice Chapter of China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM).

Neautus adheres to the business philosophy of "lotus-like purity, gold-like quality" and has taken the lead in achieving herbal slice production scaling-up, detection modernization, and process standardization after all the long-term unremitting efforts. It is regarded as "the leader in standardized production of herbal slices" and has become one of the most famous brands in China. Currently, Neautus products have been not only sold to domestic medical institutions and TCM pharmaceutical factories, but also exported to Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, etc.

In 2009, Neautus established a new plant in Chengdu High-tech Zone and this project was awarded the National High-tech Industrialization Demonstration of TCM Processing by NDRC. The new plant is equipped with the domestic first-class production facilities to meet 26 kinds of traditional processing methods and more than 100 kinds of production requirements.

Neautus attaches great importance to the inheritance and innovation of traditional processing techniques for promoting standardization. As early as the beginning of incorporation, the company has employed a number of sophisticated pharmacists with rich experiences in processing research and management to take charge of training. The company has also learned from research results of experts and humbly asked for their advices, becoming a "Heritage Base of Professor Wang Xiaotao’s TCM Processing Techniques" in November 2010.

Neautus has established a quality traceability system and the herbal slice product was the first one to meet the standards of Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010. The company boasts domestic first-class testing and detection capability by virtue of various QC/QA personnel most with Master's Degree or above as well as advanced QC technology. The QC labs are equipped with Thermo Fisher ITQ 900 GC-MS, Agilent 1260 Infinity LC, HPLC, AAS, UV Spectrophotometer, Rotary Evaporator, Moisture Analyzers, etc, which form industry-leading capacity of regular inspection, physical and chemical inspection, and instrumental analysis, so Neautus can well adapt to the testing requirements of large scale production and massive export.

In order to ensure and improve the source quality of herbal slices, Neautus is actively engaged in cultivation research and planting base construction for geo-authentic crude drugs. It has cooperated with Sichuan University and successfully cultivated Fritillaria wabuensi, which was identified as a new source of Sichuan Fritillaria and included in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010, providing a standard basis for artificial cultivation. Now the company’s three planting bases (Sichuan Fritillaria, Ophiopogon Japonicus and Aconite) have achieved GAP certification, ranking the forefront of traditional Chinese medicine industry.
