Lily Bulb(Bai he)
This medicinal is the dried scale leaf of the pulpy bulb of Lilium lancifolium Thunb,Lilium.brownii F.E.Brown var.viridulium Baker or L.pumilum DC.(Fam.Liliaceae).This plant is excavated in autumn.After being washed clean,its scale leaves are excavated and slightly scalded in boiling water.It is then dried by natural sunlight.It can be utilized in its unprocessed or honey-baked form.
Medicinal Properties:sweet and cold.
Meridian Tropism:lung and heart meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Nourish yin and moisten lung;clear heart to induce tranquilization.
Usage and Dosage: 6~12g.It is more effective to moisten the lung in its honey-processed form.
