Longstamen Onion Bulb(Xie bai)
It is the dried bulb of Allium macrostemon Bge.or Allium chinensis G.Don.,family Liliaceae.The bulbs are dug and collected in summer and autumn.After the fibrous roots are removed,they are steamed thoroughly or scalded thoroughly in boiling water and then dried in the sunshine.The raw are used.
Medicinal Properties:pungent,bitter and warm.
Meridian Tropism:Lung,stomach and large intestine meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Active yang and dissipate accumulation;promote qi flow to remove stagnation.
Usage and Dosage: 5~9g.
