Tumeric (Jiang huang)

It is the dried rhizome of Curcuam linga L.,family Zingiberaceae.It is harvested and collected in winter,when the plant has withered away.Then,it is washed clean,boiled or steamed thoroughly,and dried in the sunshine.The fibrous roots are removed,and it is cut into pieces to be used in the raw form as a medicine.

Medicinal Properties:Pungent,bitter and warm.

Meridian Tropism:spleen and liver meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies:Active blood and move qi;dredge the meridian passage to arrest pain.

Usage and Dosage: 3~9g.Appropriate amount for external application.
