Shearer's Pyrrosia Leaf(Shi wei)
It is the dried leaf of Pyrrosia sheareri(Bak.)Ching,or Pyrrosia lingua(Thunb.)Farwell,or Pyrrosia patiolosa(Christ)Ching.family Japanse polypody rhizome.It is able to be collected all the year round.Firstly,the rootstalk and roots are removed,then it is cut into segments,dried in the sunshine,or in the shade,and the raw form is used as a medicine.
Medicinal Properties:Sweet,bitter and slightly cold.
Meridian Tropism:Lung and bladder meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Promote diuresis to relieve stranguria;clear away lung to stop cough;cool blood to stop bleeding.
Usage and Dosage: 6~12g.It is utilized orally.
