The source is from the whole body with flower of Saussured laniceps Hand-Mazz.,Saussurea.gnaphaloides(Royle)Sch.-Bip.,and Saussurea.medusa Maxim.,family Composiate.It is collected in bloom with earth removed,dried by airing,cut into pieces.The crude one is used for medication.
Medicinal Properties:Sweet,mild bitter and warm.
Meridian Tropism:Liver and kidney meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Dispel wind-damp;strengthen tendons and bones;tonify kidney yang;regulate menstruation and stop blood.
Usage and Dosage:6-12g.The appropriate amount for external use.
