Gansui Root(Gan sui)
The source is from the tuber of Euphorbia kansui T.N.Liou ex.T.P.Wang,family Euphorbiaceae.It is collected either when the stem and leaves wither in the end of autumn or before bloom next spring.It is skinned and dried for use.
Medicinal Properties:Bitter,cold and toxic.
Meridian Tropism:Lung,kidney and large intestine meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Purge water and expel fluid;resolve the swelling and disperse the mass.
Usage and Dosage:0.5-1.0g.It can be added to pill or powder form for oral use.The appropriate amount of the raw is used externally.It must be prepared with vinegar for oral use,as this reduces its toxicity.
