Huang Long Tang (Yellow Dragon Decoction)
Chinese Name: Huang Long Tang
English Name: Yellow Dragon Decoction
Ingredients: Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei) 9-15g Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulphas) 6-9g Zhi Shi (Fructus Auratii Immaturus) 6-9g Hou Po (Cortes Magnoliae Offcinalis) 9-12g Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) 3-6g Dang Gui (Radix Angenicae Dinensis) 6-9g.
Administration: Add Jie Geng (Radix Platycodi)(3-9g), Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens )(3-5pieces)and Da Zao (Fructus Ziziphi Jujubae) (2-4PCS)to the above ingredients to be decocted together except Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulphas)for oral administration with Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulphas) dissolved.
Actions: Purges heat, promots bowel movement , benefits qi and noruishes blood.
Indications:Sthenic heat of Yangming fu organ with deficiency of qi and blood marked by diarrhea of clean water with pure blue clolor, or constipation , epigastric and abdominal diatension and pain with tenderness, body fever, thirst, dispiretedness. short breath, delirium, or even floccitation, unconsciousness, cold limbs, scorches yellow or scorched black tongue coating, feeble pulse.
