Lucid Ganoderma(Ling zhi)

It is the dried fructification of Ganoderma lucidum(Leyss.ex Fr.)Karst.or Ganoderma sinense Zhao,Xu et Zhang,family Polyporaceae.Besides the wild ones,now most of them are cultivated on farms.It is collected all the year round.The impurities such as rotten wood,sand and earth,or the lower stripe of stripe pf substrate are removed,and then it is dried in the shade or baked at 40~50℃.
Medicinal Properties:sweet and neutral.
Meridian Tropism:heart,lung,liver and kidney meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Tonify qi and calm mind;relieve cough and dyspnea.
Usage and Dosage: 6-12g is decocted for oral administration;1.5~3g of powder is taken.
