Ground Beetle(Tu bie chong)
The source is from the dried female insects of Eupolyphaga sinensis Walker.Or Steleophaga plancyi(Boleny),family Eupolyphaga.It is captured in the summer and scalded to death in boiling water,after which it is dried in the sunshine,or roasted dry to be utilized as a medicine.
Medicinal Properties:Salty,cold and mildly toxic.
Meridian Tropism:liver meridian.
Medicinal Efficacies:Dissipate and remove blood-stasis;remove the tendon and relocate the bone.
Usage and Dosage: 3~9g.In powder form,1~1.5g,per administration.
