It is the dried root of Panax notoginseng(Burk.)F.H.Chen,family Araliaceae.The best medicinal material is produced in the areas of Yunnan,Guangxi Province.Dug and collected before it blossoms in late summer or early autumn or after the seeds are ripe in winter,dirt removed,washed clean and dried in the sun,it can be utilized in its raw form.

Medicinal Properties:Sweet,slightly bitter and warm.

Meridian Tropism:Liver and stomach meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies:Remove blood stasis to stop bleeding;promote blood circulation and alleviate pain.

Usage and Dosage: 3~9g.1~3g of the powder to be taken orally.Appropriate amount for external application.
