It is the dried portion above the ground of dianthus superbus L.or Dianthus chinensis L.,family pink.It is collected in flower-fruit period of summer and autumn,after impurity is removed off,it is cut into segments,dried in the sunshine,and the raw one is used.

Medicinal Properties:Bitter and cold.

Meridian Tropism:Heart and small intestine meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies:Promote diuresis to relieve stranguria.

Usage and Dosage: 9~15g.It is used orally.
