Chinese Silkvine Root-bark(Xiang jia pi)
It is the dried peel of root of Periploca sepium Bge.The root is harvested and collected in the spring and autumn.At this time impurities,and raw peels of the roots,are removed,and then it is cut into thick pieces,dried in the sunshine.It is used in its raw form.
Medicinal Properties:Pungent,bitter,warm and toxic.
Meridian Tropism:Liver,kidney and heart meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies:Promote diuresis to relieve edema;expel wind-dampness;strengthen bones and muscles.
Usage and Dosage: 3~6g is used for oral use.
