Electronic Blood Pressure Monitors Facing New Development Opportunity

According to the "Minamata Convention on Mercury" signed on October 2013, China will eliminate all the blood pressure monitors and the thermometers that contained mercury by year 2020. Benefitting from this convention,the manufacturers of electronic blood pressure monitors and thermometers will have new development opportunity.

In China, some hospitals already started the elimination of mercury blood pressure monitors gradually. There are more than one hundred thousands of hospitals in China. If one hospital owns twenty traditional mercury monitors, then there must be at least 2 million old ones that need to replace. It is a huge market.
