Peking Euphorbia Root(Jing da ji)
The source is from the root of Euphorbia pekinensis Rupr.,family Euphorbiaceae.In the autumn and winter this medicinal material is harvested and collected,after which it is washed clean and dried in the sunshine.
Medicinal Properties:Bitter,cold and toxic.
Meridian Tropism:Lung,spleen and kidney meridians.
Medicinal Efficacies: Purge water and expel fluid;resolve the swelling and disperse the mass.
Usage and Dosage:1.5-3g.It is taken orally.One gram is added to the pill,or powder form for oral use.The appropriate amount is used in the raw form for external use.It must be prepared with vinegar,so to decrease its toxicity,then it can be taken orally.
