Chinese Name: Zhi Sou San
English Name: Cough-Reliecving Powder

Ingredients: Jie Geng (Radix Platycodi)1,000g Jing Jie (Herba Schizonepetae)1,000g Zi Wan (Radix Asteris)1,000g Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Praeparatae)375g Chen Pi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae)500g.

Administration: Grind the above ingredientd into fine powder for oral administration with water, 9g each time; for cases cause by exogenoud wind-cold, it should be taken twice daily after it is mixed with the decoction of Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens). Or decoct them in water and take it with dosages reduced proportionally.

Actions:Expels wind and resolves phlegm, diffuses the lung and suppresses cough.

Indications:Cough due to wind phlegm with manifestationd of cough being not easily to be hacked, itching throat, or slight aversion to wind fever. white thin tongue coating, superficial and moderate pulse.
